This blog is presented to you by Sven Illert, an Oracle DBA, cloud + solution architect and whatever you may call people, who do technically interesting stuff in customer projects. My knowlege starts with Oracle 9i and Debian GNU/Linux Potato which both date back to the early 2000s. Today I am implementing solutions as a consultant for my employer Robotron Datenbank-Software GmbH based in Dresden, Germany. The topics include the following focus areas:

• High Availability with Data Guard
• Engineerd Systems including Oracle Database Appliance and Oracle Exadata
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Lookalikes (Azure, etc)
• Programming / Scripting with GO, Perl, Shell, etc.
• Virtualization environments based on XEN and KVM
• Writing code using descriprive languages like Terraform
• A combination of all above

You may also meet me at conferences in Germany like DOAG in Nürnberg and Düsseldorf or at Robotron inhouse events in Dresden. This and my blog lead to my nomination as an Oracle ACE Associate starting in 2024.
